Joe is the Chief Executive Officer of Duke McCaffrey and is an energetic, hands on, self-motivated professional Chartered M&E Quantity Surveyor with specific expertise in the cost management of mechanical and electrical services on technically challenging projects in Data Centre, Hotel and Leisure, large scale residential and office fit out projects across Ireland, UK and Europe with values of €500k to €300m+.

Joe has been at the forefront in Duke McCaffrey in regard to the implementation of ISO 9001 Accredited project delivery methods with Duke McCaffrey having received full re-accreditation in April 2022 to ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems, ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management Systems and ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety Systems.

Joe has worked with Clients such as Keppel Data Centres, Digital Realty, State Street, Grangegorman Development Agency, Core, Citrix, AIB, Clyde Real Estate, Dundalk IT, Carlow IT, Health Services Executive, Red Rock Developments, Delsk, InfraRed Capital Partners, Dalata Hotel Group as well as working with a large number of significant small and medium size clients across a broad spectrum.

What does your brand statement ‘Challenging the status quo’ really mean?

The Duke McCaffrey brand statement has been framed as “Challenging the Status Quo” as this is born from our aspiration to do things better and improve how our industry delivers projects for clients. Time and time again we see low standards and a lack of accountability in the design and construction of projects for our clients. We own the responsibility to do better for our clients. Our Team are mentored and driven to take ownership of what is being delivered by our teams to ensure we are best in class. Our experience is if we feel passionately about delivering a great project, our collective project teams are inspired to do the same.

What has been the biggest achievement for the Duke McCaffrey team?

The greatest achievement for the Duke McCaffrey team has been the successful integration of IS0 9001 and in particular the statement from the audit team who stated that we were one of the first examples of no non conformances in their career with a new business. It was testament to the Duke McCaffrey team that the work practices and procedures are to a world class standard and we achieve an exceptionally high quality in our project management and QS services to clients. Are ongoing challenge as we grow as a business is to maintain and improve on our quality and be adaptable to make it better and more efficient for the future.
